When to use the words "continuously" and "continually" ?

I would like to know how to use each properly in a sentence.

  1. They both mean occurring repeatedly over a long period of time. But continual means intermittent or repeated at intervals: The continual interruptions by phone calls were very disruptive.  Continuous implies lack of interruption: The car alarm sounded continuously for over an hour.
