When to view the Perseid Meteor Shower?

I am reading that its best to view after 1:30 am on the August 12th..so is that 1:30 am August 12th or 1:30 am August 13th..since they are saying the peak dates are something like the 12th-14th.

You can watch the sky at 1:30 am August 12.

But wait, if you don´t see them immediately you have the chance to watch until 4.00 am on the same date.

It is both. The shower is 12th to 14th but it's easiest to see when the moon sets. So after 1:00 or so all nights should work. Astronomy magazine said the 12th would be best, though I think it should be viewable any night (12th -14th).
