We're planning on going to northern Italy (Venice, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Portofino, Positano,) in May-June 07. Wil I get temps of approx 20-25degrees(that's 68-77degrees F) then? If not, then when? (around that time of year) . What is the humidity like? What is the chance of rain?

Which is the coldest and hottest places of those above cities?

Thanks!

  1. Rome in June is likely to be hotter than 20-25, in fact it's 25/26C now!

  2. May or September.

  3. first of all:

rome is not northern italy... is in the middle

positano is southern italy (nearby naples)

in may-june the average temperature is about 20-25 celsius degrees and the chance of rain is poor but, in the last ten years, the climate has hardly change: two years ago we had a may very hot (40° C with humidity near to 100%).

don't worry about portofino and cinque terre: there the climate is comfortably all years long.

  4. june or september

the hottest is portofino very closed to cinque terre in riviera ligure but not too bad because is sea side place

coldest venice beautiful but with a lot of humidity

  5. April - May. In June temperatures often reach 30 C degrees or more, especially in the South.

The coldest town is Venice, the hottest obviously Positano

    which is in the South.

The chance of rain is pretty high in April, while in May weather is usually sunny.

  6. Venice is situated in the north, btw the best period is September

    the weather is always nice

The coldest place is Venice hottest is Rome.

  7. Hi,

May is the time to travel if you want 20-25 degrees.

However, you don't have any guarantee... :-)

Even if Positano is quite far south it's positioned direct against the big ocean which often causes cloudy weather in the evenings and really isn't any warmer than Rome and the other cities up north. (A beautiful plase though!)

  8. venice, florence and cinque terre could be the coldest, rome probably the hottest, positano is more south, but rome is such a big city and the traffic creates a lot of heat..

you might get the temperatures u are looking for, but really it depends, it could be a bit colder or... much more hot!

little chance of rain though, so i would keep these months. as long as the temperature doesnt get warmer humidity is tolerable.

i suggest to start from the south going up, but maybe venice should be avoided in june, or then humidity might be too high and bothering.

  9. Between May and June is the perfect season to visit Italy!! Temps is around 25-30 degree(Celsius) and there aren't problem about high humidity or rain.

The hottest cities that You will visit, will be Rome, Portofino and Positano

    Spend a nice Holiday!!
