When transfering files via bluetooth why do I get invalid characters in file name?

This problem is resulting in transfering files from one phone to a blackberry ..

Bluetooth file names can only contain regular letters, upper and lower case, and numbers. If you have anything else in the title it won't transfer (like commas, apostrophes, backslashes, colons, etc)
