  1. i doubt the taxi driver will say anything..just hold baby on lap

  2. I recommend taking the car seat AND a stroller.  You will need the car seat or a stroller while on ship.  Most ships now are 800 to 900 feet long and it can be a long walk carrying an infant from your cabin to anywhere on ship.  The car seat will allow you to place the infant on a lounge chair while on deck around the pool, or in a chair in the dining hall.  In other words you will need some place for the baby to sit/be while you eat.  Doing it the way you do it at home is the best way.  The last cruise that i was on there were many people with strollers.

  3. I would take it, just for the safety and convenience.  A 7 month old is still fragile, and a lot can happen that can not be undone.

  4. Yes, if not to follow the law, then certainly for the safety of your baby.

Book a car service instead of a taxi and request a car seat.

May cost a bit more but it is worth your baby's safety.

  5. I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE SOME FORM OF A CAR SEAT/CARRIER NOT ONLY FOR THE TAXI RIDE BUT ABOARD SHIP.

THERE WILL BE SO MUCH GOING ON AND SO MUCH TO DO AND SEE THAT YOU CANT POSSIBLY KEEP YOUR CHILD IN YOUR ARMS ALL THE TIME.  ALSO ON DECK THERE ARE JUST RAILS( WITH WIDE OPENINGS) NO CHILD PROFFING! SO DO PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

MANY OF THE CRUISE LINES HAVE CHILDRENS CLUBS THAT FURNISH BABYSITTING AND ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE A GREAT IDEA IN THEORY, BUT REMEMBER THAT MANY OF THE EMPLOYEES ON THE CRUISE LINES COME FROM MANY OTHER COUNTRIES AND BARLEY KNOW ENGLISH.

I HOPE YOU HAVE A SAFE AND WONDERFUL TRIP, BUT UNLESS YOU ARE GOING ON DISNEY, OR TAKING A NANNY WITH YOU, HONESTLY, YOUR TRIP IS GOING TO BE VERY LIMITED.   BEST WISHES   JACKIE B

  6. I would purchase a stroller that has a detachable carrier.  I think the carrier can be a strapped in like a carseat.
