  1. I dont know, but it does seem longer on the way there than back. Maybe when you are traveling by plane it has something to do with the wind. The wind can help a plane go faster, but i have noticed this in any form of travel.

  2. Lol. For me the opposite is true. x The journey home always seems to take forever, but when you are going there everything is fresh and exciting so doesn't seem to last as long.

  3. The anticipation makes it longer!  You can't wait to get there so it seems to take even more time however mostly you are reluctant to come home and all too soon you're back on home soil!

  4. I used to ask this when i was little. My dad always told me it was because you knew where you were going on the way back ;-)

  5. Oh this is so true.I suppose it is because you are either excited about going somewhere, or you are driving to get somewhere on time, and things seem never ending. Yet when going home, you already know your way, and that there is that feeling of well being of returning home.

Although I have had some journeys' where it seems endless getting home because of the volume of traffic.

  6. The outward journey may be to somewhere unfamiliar and therefore seems longer, on the return journey we know where we are going and how long it's going to take to get there.

  7. Most of the time I can't wait to get home and, therefore, drive faster the closer I get to my cosy home.
