When tubing how fast do you go when "slung" outside the wake?

When tubing how fast do you go when "slung" outside the wake? I mean how fast do you go in comparison with the boat? It seems like you go a lot faster and I have been flung in front of the boat before. Also what sort of speed do you NOT want to fall off at?
