If you are planning on buying a car at the end of the lease term and there is damage to the car, does it matter if you fix the damage or not before you bring the car back in? If you are planning on buying the car anyway would the damage affect the price you have to pay the dealer?

  1. No, if you plan on buying your leased car at lease-end, you don't have to fix the damages. The damages also do not affect the price you pay for the car. The price in your lease contract is a guaranteed price, although it is sometimes possible to negotiate a better price. Some lease companies will negotiate, and some will not.
