When typing a paragraph, what should you do to the title? Bold? Underline? Italicize?

Do you bold, underline, italicize the title of a book?

Usually, I underline the title and set it so that the title is in the middle of the page...and obviously you capitalize w.e...first letter of pretty much all the words in the title...duh

I was taught to italicize it when it's on the computer, but to underline when you're handwriting it...
