When u become a mermaid or before u become one can u choose the color of ur tail?

no, you can't choose the color.  The color you get depends on your personality, same as in other so-called mythical creatures.  like unicorns.  i'm a pearly-violet unicorn.  my unicorn mother was green.  it all depends.
