  1. SARA Bella is wrong. She is cloning the original one.

  2. When you can't fast one or a few days of Ramadan due to a valid excuse, you make up for it later. You have time to do so until the next Ramadan:

002.185 Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

    Al-Qur'an, 002.185 (Al-Baqara [The Cow])

    EDIT:

Yes, sister. I think if you you can't fast Ramadhan and that is for a perpetual condition (i.e. You cannot fast no matter what) then you can compensate for it by feeding poor or hungry people from the same level of food that you eat (i.e. not some cheap food) and Allah knows best.

    Peace be unto you.

  3. Sooo...when you can't fast because you are simply physically unable....you pay to feed someone for a day...for each day you miss fasting.  We consider it between $5-$8 per day in our area....

Now lets say you have a high fever, so you don't fast, but if you didn't have the fever, you would have been able to fast........you have to replace your fast.

Now breast feeding.....i think falls under the second catagory.   YOu could have fasted, but it may have been better that you didn't.  So you have to replace those fasts.

  4. I don't fast anymore, I left Islam.

At first when I was in the leaving process I would feel guilty, but now realise it's normal to not to fast.

  5. You should look this up in the proper place.  You get too many incorrect answers on YA for something that is serious.

If you miss fasting because of breastfeeding, pregnancy, period, illness and you can at a later time fast then you must make up the missed ones by FASTING, not feeding the poor.  Feeding the poor is the for those who can't fast and likely will never be able to fast.

  6. Women who are breast feeding a baby are allowed to postpone fasting.

But she will have to observe the missed fasts  at another time when not breast feeding.

Or pay the 3Ibs = 1.6kg of wheat (flour) or the equivalent in cash (for every missed fasts) to a poor and needy person.

Zakat is an obligation on those who possess enough means, to give a certain percentage of money or goods to the poor and needy.

  7. if u had a valid excuse , u should repeat fasting  the days u ate

if u deliberately ate , u should feed 60 poor people ,or fast 60 days

  8. like they said,, if you cant fast, give in charity.. or try to make up the days later.. surely out of 365days, you can manage 28 days in there somewhere.. here and there..

also charity doesnt have to be monitary.. You could give of your time, your knowledge.. Even a smile is charity (Allah says so).. anything you do to help someone.. volunteering, etc.. and have the intention that this is your duty for missing your fast.. Im sure if you do it well with a good heart.. Inshalllah!.. he will receive it and accept it ^_^

  9. Yes, you can pay dam to poor people.
