I read somewhere way back that there is a website where you can get your money back if u find a cheaper airplane ticket somewhere. Is it true? Anybody that knows anything about it? I just bought a ticket to Europe through Expedia and later found out it's cheaper through the airline company. Can I get the money difference back????

  1. check their website in their policy section- I know orbitz is doing some sort of thing like that-but always read their fine print.

  2. It's really up to the airline, not the website. Airline refund policies are set by the airline and the website has no control over them. It doesn't matter if you bought it on Expedia, Orbitz, or any of a thousand other websites.

If you bought a ticket and the fare went down afterwards, some airlines may allow the ticket to be reissued and a credit given towards a future flight. They don't give you cash back or a charge credit. However, they also charge a reissue fee that can run $100-$200 per ticket for an international flight. In many cases, the reissue fee is more than the difference in airfare, so there is no point in doing it.

Call Expedia customer service and see what the policy is for your airline.
