  1. You gotta just tell them what happened and try to get a good look at your mugger so you can describe them well.

  2. Tell them you've had your things nicked by a mugger. No fancy language needed.

  3. You should report any attempted "theft from person", theft or assault so that the problem area will be policed.

If you're concerned you could talk to somebody at Victim Support about it or arrange to speak to a police officer about the number of incidents you've experienced. There will be a community support officer for your area who should be able to visit you or see you at a police station.

  4. police "what happened sir?"

me "well this guy tried to mug yours truly"

    police "then what?"

me "i pre-empted his attack and applied a full choke-all of a sudden he has gone off the idea of mugging me"

    police "where is he?"

me "lying over there in the corner"

    true story that.

moral of the story=take up a good martial art-work hard and anyone who tries to releive you of your mobile/wallet/woman will be making a BIG mistake.

  5. its most unlikely they'll be caught or that you get your stuff back.-play safe -dont carry valuables and if mugged just give them what they want.If it does happen an accurate description may be helpful.

  6. Everything, what happened, where and what the suspect looks like.

  7. Tell the police as much as you can about the criminal.  Such as height, hair color, voice, build, where the person was headed, what they were wearing, how they got away (bike, motorcycle, car) ANYTHING you can think of. If anyone witnessed the robbery you will want them to wait around for the police to arrive to the scene to give their statement as well.  This isn't going to guarantee you get your items back.  Even if police found the criminal (which it is hard to do), odds of getting your items back would be slim. People that rob like this usually have drug problems and what they steal, they sell right away for drug money.  But, I think getting the police involved would be wise.

  8. All sounds like good advice to me. You cannot guarantee the return of property or that they will get jail - there are too many other factors at play. No doubt the police will do their best in a difficult environment.

  9. Where, when, how you were attacked - try not to imagine details you didn't observe/hear.  If you never saw the guy's face, you can't say what it looked like.  If he didn't say anything, you can't say what you think was on his mind.  Don't fudge a single detail.  be concious of what the conditions were as to what you could recall.  If it was windy and snowy, and you were bundled up, that would have an effect on how well you could observe.

The best advice is this - always tell the truth.

  10. I HAVE JUST BEEN MUGGED, DER...LOL

  11. If you are reporting an incident then you have to do so by telling the truth about what happened.

Unfortunately, reporting things to the Police doesn't guarantee you getting your property back, this only happens in an ideal world.

If you falsely report something with the view of getting back stolen property, if thats what you are suggesting, then you will get into trouble for making a false report.
