I am an elderly gentleman, too, and the practise you describe used to be termed (in the 1960s) "grooving", mostly in g*y clubs of the era. Personally, I  (still) don't want the object of my ( loin-thrusting) affection wriggling away like some Fred Astaire wannabe; I want him right there. To heck with dancing!!! It's just an excuse in this instance anyway.
