  2. Thank you for asking this question, I am delighted for this opportunity to reflect about my life.... I have not done this in a long time..

The opposite to what I wanted or expected happened, resulting in a very low percentage of what I wanted happening.

Now, as I reflect upon this I understand that if I had gotten what I wanted I would now be very disappointed with my life.

Now, present in this moment, I think of how unconditionally God loves me, just as He loves all His creation, and how He sent a special Guide to teach me how to build a spiritual bridge to Him so that I am always spiritually in His presence (physically no).  I marvel at how telepathy works and how stupid and outdated telephones are in comparison.

    Conclusion:

Indeed it took a long time to complete the bridge with many bumps along the Way/Path but now, again reflecting, it was worth every bump.

Now, if you were to offer me what I originally anticipated from life, I would look with pity upon you, and with compassion, my heart would think...ah...this traveler has a long way to travel.

  3. Turning left when I should have turned right, right when I should have turned left. The many times I should have trusted my own instincts/feelings instead of worrying about others feelings. The times my conscience wouldn't allow me to do something, how in retrospect it was unnecessary.

  6. I no longer dwell on the past, nor the future.

“Do Not dwell on the past, for the past can not be changed. Do not dwell on the future, for no one can see into the future, no control it. Be mindful of the present moment

I practice Mindfulness. Mindfulness is complete awareness of all the movements that happen in the present moment in ones body, mind or consciousness and also the environment with which these constituents of the personality interact. And what is right mindfulness? According to Buddhist scriptures, it is remain focused on these things continuously.

The benefits of right mindedness are many. With right mindedness comes the mindfulness, the complete and continuous awareness of who you are and what you are, your reactions, thoughts and feelings and your relationship with the nature of the things of the world with whom you interact. You become conscious and watchful of every moment and every movement within as well as without. This awareness and state of mind help you to develop the discretionary power to avoid the wrong movements of the body and mind or lapsing into lethargic inertia. With mindfulness you develop insight into the nature of things and learn to deal with your suffering and feelings more peacefully. You become aware of things that bind you or disturb you and through this awareness you will develop wisdom, detachment and inner stability.

Right mindfulness can be cultivated by concentrating on the things of the world, with the awareness that "this is not mine, this is not I and this is not my soul.' "All material forms, past, present, or future, within or without, gross or subtle, base or fine, far or near, all should be viewed with full understanding-with the thought 'This is not mine, this is not I, this is not my soul," declared the Buddha.
