When using Crest White Strips, slime forms behind my top front teeth?

When using Crest White Strips, slime forms behind my top front teeth. I know it's definitely not saliva. It's off the actual strip. Is this supposed to happen?

Yes, it's just the whitening gel on the strip. I used Crest Strips before my wedding, and this happened to me every time. Try not to swallow the gel, and rinse well when you remove them.
