When using a square driver, what type of tee is best?

Some people tell me to use a long tee with my new square driver because it works best. If I do, will I be getting the maximum out of this club or does a regular tee work just as well.

  1. I really like the Brush T. it always tees the ball at the same height. For a 460cc driver use the Yellow tee

  2. usa a cup of tea, works great for most applications

  3. The longer tees are best to use on all the new larger headed drivers that are out today.  Shorter tees are good for fairway woods and irons off par3's, I either find one somebody left or break a longer tee in half.  You have to be ccareful on the longer not to tee up to high and hit a skyball.  I use 3-3/4" tees.

  4. Both i use the long tees on down wind wide open fairways and a shorter tee on everything but you lose a bit of distance but gain accuracy and pretty much remove the big high slice if you miss hit ( watch tiger he tee's it lower with the new drivers) the lower the less spin u impart on the ball the higher the more spin you but on the ball  try it you will see what I am talking about

  5. Yes a long tee will work better. Your ball flight will be better which will produce more distance.  i would use 3''-31/2'' tee

  6. I used a regular tee.  I hit the ball just as high as I would with a longer tee.

  7. The longer tees are designed for the deeper clubfaces of the 460cc drivers that are being made today.  With these deep faces and new club design, the sweetspot is noticibly higher on the driver clubface, requiring a longer tee to be effective.  All of the ugly *** square headed drivers still have a fairly shallow clubface as far as I have seen, so a longer tee would actually increase your chances of a mishit, and of course the dreaded "skyball."
