Ok, so i used wasp killer to kill a wasp today, the tin said it would die instantly but it took like 10mins to die! I felt so horrible on the wee thing but i'm petrified of them so had to kill it. I was wondering how it dies? Like does it suffocate, is it painful for them? The tin didn't say what it does to them.

  1. It' suffocates them to death. sometimes takes longer .

To get technical it attaches to a neraul receptor in their brain and causes their breathing to stop but if you dont use enough or they dont take enough in it may just cause a breathing problem not a full shut down.

and for the people saying poison and toxcicity you have no clue.

  2. IF you've ever been stung by a bunch of them, as I have, you will no longer be squeamish about how they die. Most of the wasp killers are a nervous system poison.

  3. if you are using the spray stuff then it poisons them when they breathe it in. that's why they say to keep children away while you are spraying it. if they breathe it in it can make them very sick and depending on how much they breathe in it could be fatal.

  4. In the most inhumane way possible.  I can't stand bees!

  5. It basically suffocates them. When it's grounded and it's on the ground, it's unlikely it will get up. Just put it out of its misery and squish it.

  6. because it is toxic to them so they cant breath so they die

  7. Probably poison... but don't ever squish a yellow jacket wasp because they release a scent that attracts other wasps to the site.  We found out the hard way, don't let it happen to you.

  8. breathing the chemical.

  9. not making you feel guilty but i think it chemicly burns them like melts them and stuff nasty!! i like animals but wasps are b******s  and contribute nothing apart from pain lol

  10. Chemical Toxicity
