  1. For the 3cm margin:

    If you're using Windows XP or earlier, you click File, Page Setup, and there should be something there about margins. I can't give an exact description because I'm currently using Vista, but you should be able to type in the number three and I think that there is something where you can change it to centimeters instead of inches; if there isn't, try typing 3cm and seeing if that works. I think it resets to 1.8 inches, which is probably the same.

    In Windows Vista, click Page Layout. Under Page Setup, click on Margins. Go down to Custom Margins and do the same as above - type in 3cm for the left, right, top, and bottom margins.

    For double spacing:

    In Windows XP and earlier, hover over the headers until you see one that has the word "Paragraph" in it. Go to Indents and Spacing. Where it says Spacing, click the Line Spacing dropdown menu and choose double spacing, then hit OK.

    For Windows Vista, below the menu headers are the boxed headers. Click on the lower right hand corner of the Paragraph box, and do the same as above.
