When using traveler's checks, ID question??

I know when you use traveler's checks that showing a passport is usually enough to serve as your I.D.

My question is whether or not anyone knows if TWO forms of I.D. are ever needed? For example, Driver License AND Passport. Can they ask for two forms of I.D. and refuse to accept the check without the two I.D.s?

  1. They can, if they want, it's up to the person accepting the check. Anyone can refuse to accept them if they feel so inclined.

However it's very rare for a passport to be insufficient.

To be really silly, if you were offering me a traveler's check I could insist that you present 5 forms of I.D., stand on your head and whistle four bars of"Dixie";  You don't do it - I don't take your check.  See what I mean?
