When using windows msn, afteter awhile it freezes and will not respond.i have to switch off the computer .?

to clear it. I installed yahoo messenger and the same happened.

It is possible your computer does not meet the minimum System Requirements, however with modern computers this is very unlikely. When the actual incident happens next time, follow the below instructions:

1) Press and hold the Ctrl + Alt + Del buttons until Task Manager appears (or, click "Task Manager" if you are taken to a menu screen)

2) Click the "Processes" tab

3) Find "msnmsgr.exe"

4) Click on then, then click the "end process" button

Then, wait a few moments and try to restart messenger. This may solve the problem.
