When visiting a country what if you withdraw too much cash and dont spend it all?

Is it really bad? should I try to avoid it?

  1. If you have money left over when you get home from a trip, you can take it to a bank or other place where they change money and they will convert it to your local currency for a small charge.

    Generally, travelling in some countries with too much money is not a good idea, just for reasons of personal safety.


  2. You'll just need to change it back to your own currency when you get home - it's not really bad but you'll probably have to pay a small commission to do so.

  3. You should try to avoid it, and to do so, make sure you know the current conversion rate, and also know around how much per day you think you will need, including activities if any.  Try not to have more than 3 days worth of cash withdrawn at once.  It's not the end of the world if you do, you just be careful and exchange it at your bank when you return home.
