Question:

When was China considered to be an industrialized country?

When would you say it was industrialised as opposed to becoming more industrialised? I have a feeling it's somewhere in the 1990's but I don't really have a clue :(

  1. According to the Government of China, it is a developing nation, and does not describe itself as industrialized. If they were to do so, they might have to cut back on greenhouse gas emissions.

    I think the landmark date is 1998, when they joined the WTO. Once they did this, international corporations felt it safe to invest in China.
