  1. It was one of the first, but it was the only in the region that was named safest. It was fastest growing and had the most modern fleet. watch the commercial from 1970s in the time of the shah on youtube its pretty funny


  2. Iran National Airlines Corporation (known as Iran Air) was  created on 24 February 1962 by the merger of Iranian Airways and Persian Air Services.

    Iranian Airways was founded in 1946 and Persian Air Services in 1960.

    I'm not sure about every single airline in the region but Turkish Airlines was founded in May 20, 1933.
