  1. It happened all the time. That's what most wars were about.  


  2. Beginning in the 1930s Germany invaded Czechoslovakia, Poland, France and several other European countries. Japan also invaded China. These countries were occupied and all citizens lost their rights and many lost their lives. This has happened many times in history. The longest occupation ever was Britons Occupation of India (60 years)

  3. In 1794 Poland was erased off the map and was only considered a nation only during the Napoleonic wars and after ww1.

  5.   That question is impossible to answer. Rather, when did any country not have to fear a neighboring country's designs of conquest? Consider today's news in the Caucasus, or the Balkans, or the Tibetian plateau, or among the Kurds, etc. etc. etc.
