When was the Curbside Recycling program created?

Not a specific program, but the overall movement

i was thinkin it was about 20 years ago...

so 1988... im just trying to make sure

Our township had one in the early 1970s but it was experimental.

every community was different in Ontario the first community was Kitchener Ontario I believe and it was in1978 or so

The first source below states that there was only one curbside recycling program 20 years ago.   But it doesn't say which one it was.

The second states that Philadelphia passed the first mandatory recycling law in the US in 1987.   But it doesn't mention curbside.

The next says that the first curbside program was in Missouri in 1974, but it was only for newspapers.

I would do a search on

and see what else you find.
