Since the Intuos 3 was launched in September 2004, I think we may safely assume that the Intuos 2 was discontinued shortly thereafter. Most companies don't advertise that they are discontinuing a line. You could check with any dealer that sells the product, and they  can mot likely tell you approximately when the line was discontinued.
