    Racist opinions occurred in the works of some Arab historians and geographers in the 14th century. Historians have said that the question of racial superiority may go back at least a thousand years, to the time when the Moors invaded the Iberian peninsula, occupying most of Hispania for six centuries, where they founded the advanced civilization of Al-Andalus (year 711-1492).
