My 3 month-old has started drooling, refusing the breast here & there, and gnawing on her pudgy little fingers. My oldest was more than 8 months before this business started...has anyone else had teething babies this early?

  1. My oldest started teething at 3 months, and the next two at four months, so my baby, who is now almost 9 months and hasn't even showed signs of teething yet has got me a little anxious...

  2. my daughter started when she was 11 weeks, shes now 6 months and still no tooth although i think 1 will come through soon as her gums are driving her crazy like they never have done before!i use ambesol and she just likes to chew on my fingers

  3. My son started at 3 months but a tooth did not cut till he was 8 months. He has 4 teeth now and he is almost 12 months. I would give my son Tyenol if he wouldnt calm down otherwise there isnt much he cando for himself. Or  would put his pacis in the fridge. But that didnt seem to help much.

  4. my son was 4 months (minus a couple days) when he got his first teeth.  Try holding things in her mouth for her like your finger or knuckle, and a slgihtly frozen wet washcloth.  Also don't be afraid to use infant tylanol if she starts crying like shes in pain.  I think its an old wives tail that drooling means teething because my nephew drooled excessively since about that age but didn't get teeth until 9 months!  Also, hands in mouth is a normal developmental milestone around that age...not teething necessarily.
