  1. i agree with pria

  2. The first permanent color photo was taken in 1861 by the physicist James Clerk Maxwell.

The first color plate, Autochrome, invented by the French Lumière brothers, reached the market in 1907.

Sergey Mikhaylovich Prokudin-Gorsky  took a series of monochrome pictures in rapid sequence, each through a different colored filter. By projecting all three monochrome pictures using correctly-colored light, it was possible to reconstruct the original color scene.

Louis Ducos du Hauron was a French pioneer of color photography. He set out practical ways of recording colour images using both additive (red, green, blue) and subtractive (cyan, magenta, yellow) methods.

First color photograph was taken by photographer Thomas Sutton under the supervision of James Clerk Maxwell (nineteen century mathematician) - the famous author of Maxwell Equations.Maxwell discovered that color photographs could be formed using red, green, and blue filters. He had the photographer Thomas Sutton photograph a tartan ribbon three times, each time with a different color filter over the lens. The three images were developed and then projected onto a screen with three different projectors, each equipped with the same color filter used to take its image. When brought into focus, the three images formed a full color image.

I am sorry if I still could'nt figure out what you are referring to. But as far as I have understood , I guess its the last one (Thomas Sutton).

Photography is one of my hobbies and if you can get the answer to this Q, please post it as I myself am eager to know the answer.

    Cheers!! :-)
