The first programmable computer was invented in 1936 by Konrad Zuse which he called the Z1 that was built in his parents' living room. In 1975, Ed Roberts launched the Altair 8800 which he termed 'personal computer'. Konrad Zuse went on to create the Z3 and Z4 which gave him the title of 'the father of computer'.
