When was the first time you cooked?

5 years ago; and yes, I do miss cooking. Although not nearly as good as a restaurant chef, I can at least ensure clean, wholesome food without food flavour enhancer of any kind - think that's surely one of the good things about cooking for oneself.

I think I was about 11 the first time I cooked anything completely by myself. It was a cake mix as I recall.

Probably about a year ago making ramen noodles.

To this day, that is what my cooking skills consist of.

I was in charge of making supper at age 12..maybe that's why I don't care to cook now.

i was about 10 and decided to make my brother and i scrambled eggs this was the day of the iron skillet well i broke about 6 eggs in the pan and scrambled i forgot to put any oil or grease or butter it was bad very bad they burned and they stank and i got in trouble for wasting all those eggs

When I was about 7.  I saw a recipe somewhere for an atrocity called "Grape Tapioca" .  For some reason it sounded good (hey, what do you want, I was 7)!!!

To make a long story short, it didn't gel and didn't even make a decent "soup".  I poured it down the drain.

I think I was 5.. I remember my mom enrolled me in a microwave cooking class and I made my first chocolate swiss cake rolls and they were awesome.. That's when I decided I wanted to be a chef, have my own restaurant and enrolled myself in hospitality school and now that's what I do for a living..
