When was the last hurricane to hit Langley AFB?

Very well, I just moved here last week from Texas and was told I need to come up with a plan to evacuate in case of a hurricane. Was just wondering how often they happened.

  1. Hurricane Isabel on Sept 18, 2003. We were without power for over a week and a half because of that storm. Many trees were blown done and a storm surge of around 8 feet came from that storm.

    We had tropical systems come in since than but no hurricanes since Isabel. To view the flooding at Langley, click on the following link:

    You will be surprised just how bad the tidal flooding was.

    Edit: Hurricanes don't actually hit that often, but we do have close calls on a yearly basis. Most either hit Carolina first or they stay about 40 miles off the coast. However, when they do hit, they hit with revenge.
