from what I know about nuclear energy is that its dangerous, and deadly. have they come up with new safer was to dispose of nuclear waste?

  1. They are being built all the time.  Britain is going to build more, France gets 80% of its power from nuclear, Japan has loads of them, China is building them.

    So what is your question?  

    Excuse us all guys, but since when has the internet just been applicable to the USA?

  3. The last plant to begin commercial operation was the Watts Bar plant in Tennessee in 1996.

    Why do you say that it is dangerous and deadly? There has never been anyone injured or killed by nuclear energy in the USA.

    For what it is worth, the USA gets about 13% of its electricity from nuclear power. France produces 70% of its electricity from nuclear.

    There is no way to dispose of nuclear waste at present. It can only be stored. Hopefully, technology with fusion will enable us to get rid of the waste instead of just storing it.
