For those of you who don't know, pretty much it means no prisoners or survivors. Every last enemy is to die. It is obviously illegal now and has been for some time. But does anyone know when the last No Quarter order was given?

Just curious. Thanks.

  1. The 1907 Hague conventions, prohibited the right to declare "no quarter."

  2. The only modern instance I can think of was General Santa Anna of Mexico during the Texas Rebellion at the Alamo and even then, he didn't kill everyone.

  3. just before the start of the battle

As for the Alamo it was the day before  as a warning and non combatants were allowed to leave

    All that stayed were killed
