  1. I thought once a number was retired in a team, it was never used again?


  2. Can't think of anything for the NHL but Bill Dickey and Yogi Berra both had number 8 retired for them for the Yankees

  3. The Leafs honoured both Frank Mahovolich and Daryl Sitler by raising #27 to the rafters, but the leafs no longer retire numbers.

  4. The Montreal Canadiens retired #12 for both Yvon Cournoyer and Dickie Moore on the same day.
