Well I just watched both the men's and women's 4 x 100 relays get disqualified because the anchor could not get the baton on both teams. Has this ever happened before?

This is certainly not the year for the U.S. in track and field. I hope we do better in London in 2012.

  1. I don't know but all I could do was shake my head. d**n.

  2. The last time they both dropped the baton was during the 2008 Beijing Olympics

  3. This has never happened to the US in the history of the modern Olympics.

It's also the first time the US will not have a relay in the finals of the 4x100 relays.

Disappointing...mostly because of the lack of coaching and practicing the exchanges.

    Enjoy!

  4. I don't know, but to be honest. This is actually really good for Team USA, we will come back stronger now that we learned that we aren't always the dominate ones.

I think we will bounce back in 2012

As far as the OTHER American athletes, I'm very proud of them!

    Team USA!!!
