  1. Gerald Ford, Nixon's Vice President, became President on Aug 08, 1974 after Richard Nixon resigned.  This left the office of the Vice Presidency empty until Dec 19, 1974 when Nelson Rockefeller was appointed VP.  BTW, Spiro Agnew resigned on Oct 10 1973, and Ford became Veep on Nov 27 1973, so that was an earlier vacancy.

  2. Agnew under Nixon

  3. Agnew...but Palin wont be....the political witch hunt will be proven to be just that....funny how Dems are so FOOLISH to think they can slander someone with an INVESTIGATION....not charges and threaten to "release the report" 4 days in front of the election.....IF....they have the info now.....release it now...if you don't have any info.....how can you say when your going to release it.... IF..... you find any...and try and make us think it is anything other than a hatchet job....

  4. Spiro Agnew resigned from the Nixon White House when indicted for income tax crimes.

Interestingly, he was a little known governor from a small population state praised for his conservative credentials...
