A couple of month's ago, I was watching a documentary on Discovery.  It was about super hurricanes, and how they could affect the NE USA.  They finally got to a point where they said someone had found a system to discover if there have been previous times of these SH's.  They found out by analyzing sediments that the last cycle of these was in the 1400's, where with in ten years there was a huge increase in these storms.  All they basically said was this one sentence!  Then it was back to the same old alarmist talk.  

I am all in favor of cleaning up our environment, and think that we could all stand to use less of everything.  However, I don't think we have that much of control of the weather.  After all, where I live, it used to be tropical swamps and dinosaurs.  Now, it is sub arctic.  One really big volcanic eruption could wipe out any warming that is building up.  (Where we live, we had two years of excess snow, and cold rainy summer after Mt. Pinatubo blew in the Philippians in 1991

Al Gore says that the science is settled and the debate is over. He says that in order to stifle all opposition. He also recently said that people who don't believe that man-made global warming is real are a tiny minority like people who believe that the earth is flat and that the moon landing was staged.

warming , cooling its a ploy to divert us away from regular old air pollution , which even you can't deny is getting worse .

Well, I will tell you Dr. Smith: they haven't. Soon enough, some of the alarmists will come along and say things like "the IPCC said AGW is true", "NAS made an announcement", or "its basic physics and radiative transfer is well understood." With statements like these, it is quite apparent that they nothing of the actual physics or of the scientific method.

I also predict that someone will come along with an "impressive" list of peer reviewed studies (the purveyor of truth...) that supposedly support the theory, and they know full well (hopefully) that the list contains nothing that lessens uncertainty and nothing of any real substance.

These "alarmists" blither on about what little we do know and what we think we know without even mentioning what we know nothing (or very little) about. And they discount any theory because "it doesn't explain all of the warming, so it can't explain any of it." Well, it doesn't work that way--it is a culmination of many things.

You cannot use the following as evidence:

-models

-hypotheses

-hypotheses testing models

-models testing hypotheses

-correlation

-lack of a quality alternative theory (which is erroneous as well)
