The Pirates have added 3B Andy LaRoche to join his brother 1B Adam LaRoche in the Bucs' infield. What was the last time a team had two brothers on their infield?

  1. Gonzo's in SD

  2. The Giambis were with Oakland in 2000-01. Jason played 1B and DH, Jeremy mostly outfield but some 1B as well -- so clearly they were never both on the infield at the same time, but they both played an infield position.

  3. This year both of the Gonzalez brothers at Petco

  4. i believe sandy and roberto alomar played together, but i dont remember what team (I could also be wrong) and sandy was a catcher so not exactly an infielder

  5. Utterchaos, you forgot the Ripken brothers, Cal & Billy of the Orioles & I always find your answers very helpful

  6. Like what PADRES FAN said the San Diego Padres have two brother playing in the infield Adrian and Edgar Gonzalez

The last time two pairs of brothers played in the same infield was in 1998 for the Cincinati Reds, brothers Steve and Barry Larkin played along side with brothers Bret and Aaron Boone for one game

  7. Bengie and Jose Molina played together for the Angels in 2004 and 2005 (Jose played 1B a few times).

Sandy and Roberto Alomar played together in San Diego in 1988 and 1989 and in Cleveland in 1999 and 2000.

Barry and Stephen Larkin played together in Cincinnati in 1998.

Bret and Aaron Boone played together in Cincinnati in 1997 and 1998.

d**k and Hank Allen played together for the White Sox in 1972 and 1973.

Twins Eddie and Johnny O'Brien played together for the Pirates in 1953 and 1955-1957

edit: Thanks Bunky,  I'm sure I missed quite a few others besides the Ripkens.  I started looking at the list of brothers but didn't feel like researching it further.  Never did make it to the R's.
