  1. Graham Annesley. In 1992. Not sure on what ground or who was playing but i have a feeling it was at Brookvale Oval. I remember the incident and the year because that was the year i started Refereeing. He collided with a player but after a little drink of water he was alright to continue on. More recently, Steve Clark back in 2004 tore his calf muscle at the Sydney Showground Parramatta vs Bulldogs on a Friday night game. Jason Robinson came on to replace him being his first game in First grade.I know this because i was the dude to strap Steve Clark calf after the injury.

If you are talking about a Touch judge or sideline official they call them these days, Glenn Henderson was injured at Parramatta Stadium in 2000. Mario Cafarelli came on to replace him.

So who was it then mate? I probably got dates wrong but i know the situation. So how is The Hradman right?

It open and im waiting for the article.

YES! My apologies to The Hardman! Paul Simpkins got injured and was replaced by Tony De La Heras. Both good friends of mine!

  2. Newcastle vs Cowboys, Round 6, 2006 is the last time I remember a referee being injured in a NRL match. A referee was injured in the Brumbies vs Sharks game in the Super 14 this year in round 10 but that isn't NRL.

  3. not sure wat year but

Paul Simpkins injured his hamstring and tony de la heras came on as replacement ref

  4. lol, if I ever get to another one it may be sooner rather than later!
