When was the last time the NY Yankees missed the Playoffs?

I Have a question for all baseball fans

When was the Last time the Ny Yankees miss the playoffs, and which year was it in when they miss the post season, now i have to say every year on Espn, i hear those sports reporters, say the Yankees are in danger by not making the playoffs. so i'm guessing with there current record the Yankees will not be in the post season right ? or am i wrong. do they still have a chance or not

Why thge h**l do people keep saying 1990?  The last time the Yankees missed the playoffs was 1993 (Well, technically 1994, but no one made it to the playoffs that year.

The Yankees have been to the playoffs every year since 1995. The last full season they didn't reach the playoffs was 1993. (The 1994 season was interrupted by a strike that canceled the World Series.)

The Yankees are currently five games back of the American League Wild Card spot. With less than five weeks left, it's going to be tough to make it, but nothing is definite.

1994*. They will not make it this year though because there are two teams ahead of them battling for the Wild Card with better records. If it were just one team ahead of them I would say they have a chance but not gonna do it.

Technically the last time was the strike season of 1994, before that 1993. They made it in '95 played Seattle. '96 They won it all against ATL. '98 They beat SD in a sweep. '99 They won it all and again in '00.
