  1. A few weeks back when a relative was taking a fit, her fit wasn't like one of her usual fits.

  2. a few weeks ago for my alcoholic neighbours

they were scrapping in the street

I would have got the popcorn out if it wasn't about 3 o'clock in the morning

  3. You make it sound like a regular event - I'm still waiting for the first time I called 999 !

991ers, you are on Yahoo UK & IRELAND here.

  4. About 15 years ago when I was robbed at gun point whilst working in a service station.

  5. When my flat caught fire I tried but the phone was vandalised so I had to run all the way to the Police station, it was snowing and quite deep, I only had boxers on and still remember the desk sergeant's face as I breathlessly entered the lobby, I thought I was going to get arrested before I managed to blurt it out.

  6. when I woke up in the gutter.

  7. Wow, that's sad.  Not a nice experience.  I had to dial 999 recently on hearing some screams in my close.  I was terrified for this poor woman thinking she was being attacked - the police arrived in minutes only to find she was havinvg a bust up with her mate who had thrown her out at 3am.  There was three police cars - the whole thing went on for about three hours.  I wasn't impressed - what a waste of police time when someone else needs help - the girl in question did come and apolgise.

  8. Oh hun that's sad :( ((hugs))

Mine was for my daughter, she had a post op bleed a week after her tonsillectomy, I thought she might die, honest I panicked so bad.

Then the stupid doctor at the children's hosp ( no bedside manner whatsoever ~ should have been in psychiatry lol) nearly needed  emergency surgery I was nearly going to knock his teeth down his throat.

Why do they let idiots loose on children in the NHS? lol

  13. About 3 weeks ago.  I have to call 999 on such a regular basis it becomes the norm.  I manage a large sheltered scheme and of course elderly people get seriously ill and have falls.  I am always grateful to see the men and woman in green turn up and sometimes take over some very worrying situations.  Don't know what we would do without them!

  14. It's 999 Americans, don't know if you've noticed but this is yahoo UK & IRELAND.

  15. I witnessed an old lady being run down. She ran across a crossing after the lights changed back to allow the traffic.

  16. 2 years ago when I was getting beaten up by the girl I was seeing at the time. The filth turned up and decided to take her side after fluttering her eyelashes and turning on the waterworks. Sad.

  17. That's really terrible hon, I'm sorry :(

A couple of years ago I had to call the fire brigade to release my friend from the baby swings down in Chinatown; Special got stuck when he put his legs through the safety bars. The thing wouldn't flip backwards so we couldn't tip him out.

Luckily there's been nothing worse than that, knock on wood.

  18. You must be in the UK.  In the US we dial 911 and they take people to the ER (Emergency Room).

  29. Do you mean 911? Or is that the emergency number where you are?

Uh... a couple months ago. I was driving with my mom and we came to this light, and the guy in front of us didn't move, so we pulled up around him and he was slumped over in his chair.  We drove up the road a bit so we wouldn't be in the way, and then called 911 so that someone would come help him.  Scary.

  30. A couple of months ago when a young guy driving just in front of me lost control of his car and it went up in the air and turned over three times. He was out like a shot but the car went on fire.I had to ring for the ambulance, fire brigade and gardi. We had to wait 20 mins as it was out in the countryside. The gards were round 2 weeks ago to take a witness statement.Luckily he wasn't badly injured and his mum called next day to say thanks.Oil on the road, apparently.
