  1. been a week. I am a member of the Veterans Hospital NODA program. (No One Dies Alone), where you volunteer and sit at the bedside of veterans that are terminal and set to die in a few days to a few hours. These veterans usually have no friends or relatives to be there in their time of passing. So You, as the volunteer read to the veteran if he requests, or talk to him, and if he talks it will be about his life, his loves,  his regrets, etc.

  9. Well I was going to buy some food for the morning from the supermarket, and ont he way I saw 2 kids at two different places begging for money. They looked very poor and skinny.

I made my shopping and bought some food for them, and put it in two separate bags. When I came back home on the exact same path, I distributed the two bags with food to the kids.

    Cheers,

    And

  10. give without a thanks

  11. Nothing heroic. About a month ago, a lady at a grocery check out was trying to gather a couple of dollars, going through her entire pocketbook in order to pay for her groceries. I'd offered $ 4 that she was short of.  She thanked me, and asked my address, and told her it's OK,

  12. Well, I know you asked when was the last time I helped a stranger and to be honest, its been awhile but today I did witness an act of kindness from one stranger to another. When my family and I were dining this evening at a restaurant I saw a man wipe out on his motorcycle and another man run over to make sure that he was okay. That is truly an act of kindness in my book.
