When was the time period of the mid evil times?

Was it thousands of years ago, hundreds of years ago, anyone know the year it took place

The Medieval time period (or the Middle Ages) dates from the Fall of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century CE to the Renaissance in the 15th century CE:  That's about 460 to 476 CE (approximately the time that the Goths sacked Rome) to about 1454 to 1517 CE.  Subtracting 1453 from 2007, the Middle Ages ended approximately  550 years ago.

Medival is the proper spelling.  There is no accepted time for the time period to start, because there is another set of "times" in use (Dark Ages, Middle Ages, etc).   For the UK, a time from 1066 (the Battle of Hastings) to 1508 (the Coronation of Henry VIII) is probably a good period to consider medival.

The Mid-evil period, also known as the Middle Ages, have no concrete period.  They are commonly dated from the fall of the Western Roman Empire, in the 5th century to the beginning of the Renaissance in the late 14th or early 15th century.  Commonly seen periodization ranges span the years ca.400-476 AD (the sack of Rome by the Goths) to 1453 to ca. 1517 (Martin Luther's 95 theses). These dates are approximate.
