When was this GWS section started? Also when they started Yahoo Answers. I am too lazy to post this in another section...

Who were the earliest regulars ? Are they still here?

  1. When I started posting in Dec 2006 in this forum it was called Women's Studies and Yahoo Answers had been around for almost a year-if I remember correctly.

After much whining the title of this forum was changed to Gender and Women's Studies since that's the name many US academic institutions had changed their Women's Studies programs names to. As there were NOT ANY accredited US Men's Studies programs at ANY US university or college at that time-Men's studies was not added as a forum or to the name when the forum name was changed.

I haven't bothered to research it lately-but maybe the TWO NON-accredited US Men's studies programs available in  2007 have finally gotten enough interest from the public to warrant a change to being accredited- but maybe not.

I can't list the GWS regulars since I would have my answer deleted immediately. Most are gone except a few anti-fems still lurk under different profile names along with some of the feminists who come and go depending on the level of intelligence being displayed at the forum that month.

  2. All that would be interesting to know if anyone has the answers.

All I know is that GWS was originally called Women's Studies until George Bonbon spoke to Yahoo to protest about men's rights being sidetracked and deprecated.

This forum should by now have become Gender Studies because the title "Gender and Women's Studies" is now incongruous and illogical.

  3. Alot have changed their names. But I'll tell you, there a LOT of Newbies....

  4. I think it kicked off some 2/3 years ago.
