When was your baby born? Early, Late ?

1 week early, on the due date, 10 days late? What is the normal? How many are actually carried for 40 weeks?

My first child was due Feb 15th and i had him jan 30th so he was 2 weeks early. My second child was due may 21st and i had her exactly 3 weeks early on april 30th at 37 weeks.

with my first they induced me at 39 weeks and 5 days she weighed 5lbs 11 ozs my second i had a c-section at 37 weeks she weighed 7lbs 11ozs

My due date was Jan 31st. That day i was exactly 40 wks & that day i went into labor.

I delivered at 2.04am Feb 1st.

He was 2 hours late hehe

My baby was born right on the due date which was august 9th i went into labor that same day and delivered him at 8 o'clock that evening.

with my first, my daughter was born just 3 days before her due date but with my second,  my son was born about 3 1/2 weeks early. he was due april 14th and arrived march 24th!

I had my baby two weeks early, She was due sept.1st and I had her on Aug. 16th!

I carried my  baby for 42 weeks...... ugh..... it was a rough couple of extra weeks.  I ended up being induced..... because there is a greater chance of still births when you go beyond two weeks.  I am happy to say I had a beautiful heathly baby via c-section.  It was the best day of my life.

I read somewhere that about 4% of babies enter the world on their actual due dates.  Remember the bell curve from your high school statistics class?  Draw one of those around the due date, and that's how the numbers play out.  It's common for first time moms to go late, while we third-timers tend to go early.  My third was 7 days early, and thank God he was.  He was 10 pounds, 5 ounces as it was!

2nd baby --they had no clue when he was coming, due dates ranged from sept to feb 8-\ but he came right when I wanted him to, between Christmas and new years

3rd baby came the day after my due date

I just had my 1st, she is 6 wks old now, and she was due July 2 but decided to come July 11 with a little help with pitocin to speed up early labor (which I was already in). so my pregnancy was 41 weeks and 2 days. :(

Generally, if mom and baby are both healthy still, then they will allow up to 42 weeks then induce. I went overdue, and was  already in early labor, but then got induced bc I had suddenly developed mild pre-eclampsia (though was shceduled for a latr induction date).

Our first was 8 weeks early. In an incubator till she was 5lbs. Great it was. We could go out for a few weeks then but still be near the hospital.

exactly 1 week early...the day I started my 40th week she was born so I was 39 complete weeks pregnant when I went into labor.

Daughter 1 week late but precisely 9 months to the day after conception!!  Met hubby on a Tuesday, Married on a Tuesday and Molly arrived on a Tuesday.  :)

My first child was over a week late.  My second child - I picked the date to have her be delivered which was on my father's birthday.  I have no second thoughts in selecting the day either.  My child is now thankful that I had chosen the date as my father - her grandfather is now deceased.

I am pretty sure that the doctors were wrong about my due date. If they were right then I had him by C-section at 38 weeks. If I was right then he was 40 weeks.

The doctors always told me that first babies "usually" come late. I had two friends who were pregnant at the same time as I was and they both were over a week late. I ended up getting pre-eclampsia and my daughter was born 4 weeks early by emergency c-section. Since your body has never given birth before it doesn't really "know" what to do. All subsequent pregnancies are supposed to be quicker.

I was due april 24th....i went into labour on the morning of  april 24th! I had her the same day due to an emergency c-section.

My doctor told me it was totally normal to go past 40 weeks with your first baby.

My mum for example had gone over by a week with all hers.

i was due october 6th 2007 and had my baby girl via c-section october 7th cause i couldnt dilate i stayed at 1/2cm for 3 days

I carried 40 weeks with my first! Due May 4th had him May 2nd.

My water broke on the last day of my 35th week, and I had her the next day--the first of my 36th week.  She was exactly 4 weeks early.
