  1. No, toner isnt just water and I wouldn't advise using tap water!

I'd go with the advise about, you can skip it or use something mild, like Boots own brand ones.

  2. Don't bother doing any cleansiing, toning and moisturising, it is a waste of money, it is just the industry's way of getting ur cash. I am 37 yrs old and I have never ever used anything on my face apart from cold water! I don't wear make up (unless I am going to a wedding or somewhere like that). I recently went for a skin analysis, and I was told that I had skin that is equivalent to the skin of a 24 year old! So I am a walking advert for proof that you don't need to cleanse etc, your skin has an amazing capacity to cleanse and moisturise itself - that's why it can sometimes be oily, oily skin isn't bad - it just shows that "it's working".  I actually feel sorry for these women who spend loads of money for things like Roc and "uplifting wrinkle free whatever", oh and by the way, I don't have a single wrinkle either! So the answer to your question - forget about the toner and use tap water!

  3. if you're looking for a good toner rose water is really effective and refreshing

  4. Some toners for sensitive skin do have water in them, but no toner is just water. Most toners have alcohol, witch hazel, and many times salicylic acid and then some focus on essential oils. I prefer ones that have good oils for the face, but not everyone can. I would look up toners, because sorry they are not just water.

  5. no not just water - water drys ur face out

you can get a cleanser and toner in one (which is what i use) which is quicker and simplier to use - I think its by Neutragena

  6. most toners consist of a lot of alcohol and other harsh astringents. if you don't have a particularly oily complexion, you can stip that step altogether.

  7. Use Apple Cider Vinegar, or lemon instead.

  8. Toner is designed to help balance the PH level in your skin as well as remove excess dirt and makeup. It can even be substituted as a cleanser

Try Nivea Young Stay Clear Toner

    it's great!
