Foam probably won't stop LPG emanation and anything that could conceivably cause a spark could cause an explosion.

The discharge of foam could cause a discharge of static electricity.  If you must have a safe procedure, a HAZMAT book (available for free at the Department of Transportation)

describes how to contain all HAZMAT leaks and spills.  A company called Chemtrec has an "800" number for emergency situations.  Your LPG delivery company probably has that # or you can get it from 800 directory assistance.

Any type of LPG leak is dangerous and I would not recommend that you use foam at all.............
