Question:

When we moved in to the house there is a wall between the kitchen/living room the 2 outlets have never worked?

there is no outlet that has a reset button on it yes have checked all the breakers, the thing that is puzzling me is we had a new ac unit installed and the guy put the new thermostat thing on the same wall there are 3 outlets that dont work and the house is like 20 years old and there is a light switch on the wall too that we have no idea with it goes to... so i was just curious if anyone knew anything that could help

  1. Call a qualified professional electrician. It is possible a wire was never connected or the circuit was not completed.  This is a project that requires a professional, it may also require some wall repair.


  2. Call an electrician... unless you are one.

  3. Are they controlled by a GFCI?  It you find a GFCI receptacle in the kitchen press the reset button. Have you checked to see if there is a breaker turned off or has tripped?

  4. Try plugging a light into one of the outlets and turn on the switch. Some houses have outlets that are controlled by a wall switch.
